My nephew Jeff was in town for a couple of days. Never has he been to the field with me and a hawk. With strangers in the field, Cisco is always dependable, always puts in a good performance, and nearly always catches game. Yesterday, flying on a rare three day fast, in cool weather, but a bit high in weight, he disappointed. Cisco would not follow, was nervous, and we did not find anything to chase. Oh well.
Today, still high in weight, he chased squirrels, in the frosty air of the coldest morning hunt of the season. Not red hot, but OK.
