A Sorry Outing

Out with Cisco out this evening to chase game birds. After the squirrel incident two days ago, I didn't want him to chase squirrels. Weather was misty and cool. Initially Cisco rode the T pole and had a few chases on birds, returning to the T pole. It was fun. Then it got dull and boring with no game and no action. He ended up flying back to, and landing on, the vehicle and then began panhandling! He didn't want to fly to the T pole, but watched my fist intently. This is the problem with not catching game, coupled with feeding in the field. I hooded Cisco, put him in hawk box and drove home. One of the poorest performances in the decade we have been hunting together. Oh well.
